Aaron Lennon to Everton: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon has signed for Everton on a three-year deal.
The club confirmed the capture via their official Twitter feed on Tuesday:
The 28-year-old spent the latter part of 2014-15 on loan at Goodison Park, where he notched two goals and one assist in 14 appearances.
Lennon will undoubtedly be relieved by the move having been frozen out at White Hart Lane since manager Mauricio Pochettino's arrival in 2014.
WhoScored.com highlighted the winger's improvement last year following his move to Everton and an extended run of starts:
At 28, Lennon still has much to give, and his addition will give Everton even more width and pace on their flanks.
The prospect of defending against the marauding Lennon and Seamus Coleman down the right and Leighton Baines, who is currently out with a long-term ankle injury, on the left will be a daunting one for Everton's opposition, so Lennon can continue his successful spell with the Toffees by helping them contend for a Europa League place.
Potentially, he could even return to the kind of form that saw him break into the England national team.
