The capture of Jelavic comes on a busy deadline day for Slaven Bilic's side, as Eurosport confirmed Victor Moses and Alex Song also moved to the club on season-long loans from Chelsea and Barcelona, respectively:
Upon completing his move to Upton Park, Jelavic said he was "very excited," adding that there was "no doubt I wanted to come here" after finding out West Ham were interested, per the Press Association.
Jelavic joined the Tigers from Everton in January 2014 and spent 20 months at the KC Stadium, where he made 42 Premier League appearances prior to the team's relegation to the Championship last term.
Sky Sports provided a look at the Croatia striker's top-flight record at Hull and Everton, with West Ham hoping he can revive his best form on returning to the Premier League:
Jelavic will provide Bilic with attacking cover while Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia make their bids to recover full fitness.
