Tennessee Titans vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

Ty SchalterAug 28, 2015

Marcus Mariota had a rough first couple of NFL series, but he finished his first preseason game on a high note. His second outing was very strong, flashing a little of everything the Titans drafted him to do. Now, though, it's the all-important dress rehearsal—and lining up across from him is one of the scariest pass rushes in the NFL.

Pass-rushers Justin Houston, Tamba Hali and Dee Ford are set to bring the heat; can new starters Byron Bell and Jeremiah Poutasi handle the pressure at left guard and right tackle, respectively? If so, Mariota will have time to attack the Chiefs' first-round rookie corner, Marcus Peters, who'll be starting without the help of Sean Smith on the other side.

For the Chiefs, eyes should be on Alex Smith and the passing game. The tall, fast, creative third-round rookie wideout Chris Conley should get "a lot of reps on tape," as head coach Andy Reid told Adam Teicher of ESPN.com. Together with prize free-agent signee Jeremy Maclin and tight end Travis Kelce, Conley should give Smith another downfield option against the Titans.

Titans fans are hoping Smith won't have time to go deep. Not only would they like to see more pressure generated by Brian Orakpo and company, but the Chiefs' official site says starting offensive tackles Eric Fisher and Jeff Allen won't be playing. Instead, the patchwork crew of Donald Stephenson and Paul Fanaika will be bracketing the rebuilt Chiefs interior line.

Let's turn on the spotlights, open the doors and pack the house for these two quarterbacks' all-important dress rehearsal. Stay right here throughout the game for live updates, stats, highlights, scores and analysis!
