We’re in a golden age of marketing in college football.

A few weeks back we saw Arizona’s Rich Rodriguez pose as James Bond in an action movie-type hype video, and now we have the Ohio State team blended together with Star Wars.

With the movie’s famous musical number set to a hip-hop beat, highlights of the Buckeyes are shown in conjunction with Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire, with OSU-based chapters scattered throughout.

Vader also notes that the reigning national champions have a “new enemy” in Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Ohio State is one of the most popular programs in the country—er, galaxy—but it’s also one of the most despised.

Sometimes it's fun to be the bad guy.
