Club Brugge vs. Manchester United: Goals, Highlights from Champions League Tie
Wayne Rooney ended his goal famine for Manchester United with the opening goal against Club Brugge in their Champions League play-off game in Belgium.
The striker's goal made the tie 4-1 on aggregate and looked to have ensured United's passage into the group stage of the competition.
Memphis Depay's smooth work for the assist made it all possible.
But United had Sergio Romero to thank for staying in front—the Argentina keeper made a fine save after the defence had opened up in front of him to deny a Brugge attack.
In the second half, Rooney made it two, this time finishing off after neat work from Ander Herrera.

And the third came soon after:
It was then Herrera's turn to get on the scoresheet, tucking a goal away after a delectable through ball from Bastian Schweinsteiger beat the defence.
