WWE SummerSlam 2015: Results That Will Have Biggest Impact at Night of Champions
As is the case with most pay-per-view shows WWE hosts, several matches at SummerSlam will have major impacts on the company's next big show, Night of Champions, on Sept. 20.
With just a few weeks between the shows, it's inevitable that some rivalries will continue into Night of Champions, and some will have lasting impacts on what happens over the next few shows.
An explosive post-SummerSlam edition of Raw, with Sting and The Dudley Boyz returning, means the complexion of the card will look slightly different at Night of Champions, though.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here are three results from SummerSlam that will have the biggest impacts on the shape of the card at Night of Champions.
Team PCB defeating Team Bella and Team B.A.D
With Team Bella losing out and the Divas Champion, Nikki Bella, ending up on the wrong side of the result at SummerSlam, it seems inevitable that she will have to defend her title at Night of Champions, especially given the name of the show.
Nikki has done precious little in terms of title defenses lately, and when you weigh up the fact that her team lost out at SummerSlam, it means there are plenty of contenders.
Had Team Bella won at SummerSlam, it wouldn't have created the same sense of vulnerability for The Bella Twins, so it was vital that someone pinned a Bella, even if it was Nikki.
Nobody knows who the challenger is yet. Charlotte appears to be the front-runner, but the fact that Becky Lynch scored the winning pin at SummerSlam might hint at her getting the shot.
The result has given the storyline a shot in the arm and forced Nikki into putting her title on the line to show that The Bellas are the dominant team in WWE.
The New Day Regaining the WWE Tag Team Championships
Although The Prime Time Players were worthy champions and gave the tag division a shot in the arm, The New Day getting the belts back sets things up beautifully for Night of Champions.
Why? Although The Prime Time Players will invoke their mandatory rematch clause, they're certain to be joined with another team or two, including The Dudley Boyz.
Having the heel team emerge triumphant at SummerSlam (even though The New Day is probably more popular than ever) created a nice subplot for Raw in which they were celebrating and stunned by the return of Bubba Ray and D-Von.
That sets things up nicely for a New Day vs. Dudley Boyz feud to dominate the landscape of the tag division heading toward Night of Champions.
Had The Prime Time Players or another team won at SummerSlam, The Dudleys' return wouldn't have had anywhere near the same impact.
Seth Rollins defeating John Cena
The impact Seth Rollins' victory over John Cena has on the card for Night of Champions could end up being twofold.
First, because Rollins emerged triumphant and remained WWE World Heavyweight Champion, WWE could set up that mouthwatering clash with Sting at Night of Champions.
Seeing Sting in the running for WWE's big prize is something many fans thought they'd never see, and had we known Sting was going to return to confront Rollins on Raw, it would have been a lot easier to confidently predict Rollins as the winner at SummerSlam.
But it also creates the possibility of Rollins dropping the United States Championship he won at SummerSlam to focus on Sting and his world title match.
History has shown that when a star wins two belts, the midcard championship is often vacated, and that should be the case here.
It would create an opening for some fresh blood in the midcard to compete in a tournament for the belt, with the final to be held at Night of Champions.
Imagine throwing two guys such as Cesaro and Kevin Owens into another brilliant match but with a title at stake this time. It seems like it would work and give Night of Champions a boost.
