
Capital One Cup Draw 2015-16: Dates and Fixtures for 3rd-Round Schedule
A north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur headlines the third round of this season's Capital One Cup after the next round of fixtures was confirmed Tuesday evening.
That Premier League collision won't be the only derby to watch, though, after Aston Villa drew Birmingham City in what promises to be a spicy meeting between the west Midlands rivals.
The eight Premier League teams involved in European competition—including reigning League Cup champions Chelsea—made their way into the melee Tuesday after receiving byes in the previous rounds.

Spurs managed to beat the Gunners 2-1 in February when the two teams last met, but Mauricio Pochettino's side haven't won at the Emirates Stadium since November 2010.
Aston Villa will play host to fierce rivals Birmingham after beating Notts County 5-3 in extra time in their second-round clash, with Back Page Football taking note of the step up in third-round pedigree:
Elsewhere, fans can look forward to an all-Premier League clash between Leicester City and West Ham United, while Sunderland are hoping to turn the tables against Manchester City after they hammered Exeter 6-3 on Tuesday.
The third round also bring memorable ties for Carlisle United and Walsall, who face Liverpool and Chelsea, respectively, in what's sure to be a unique experience for both sets of fans.

Another top-flight showdown will see Norwich City play host to West Bromwich Albion, who defeated Port Vale 5-3 on penalties following Tuesday's 0-0 stalemate after 120 minutes.
Championship outfit Ipswich Town face a difficult trip to Old Trafford in their bid to continue a League Cup dream. Midfielder Adam McDonnell tweeted his delight at the prospect after making his debut in Tuesday's 4-1 win at Doncaster:

The Red Devils have already improved upon last season's premature second-round exit after receiving a bye to the third round, having suffered a shock defeat to MK Dons in 2014-15.
Dons manager Karl Robinson has another Premier League test on his hands, though, beating Cardiff City 2-1 in the second round before drawing Southampton in their next matchup.
Fans won't have long to wait before the third-round drama gets underway, with the Capital One Cup poised to undergo a more glamorous transformation in the next phase of the competition.
