After playing 35 minutes a game for Syracuse last season, Michael Gbinije is representing Nigeria in the 2015 AfroBasket as the country tries to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

And he’s out there catching bodies.

On a nice give-and-go inbounds play against Tunisia, Gbinije went up and obliterated a defender who drew the unfortunate task of guarding the rim.

Nigeria lost the game, but Gbinije won the night.
