49ers Rookie Jarryd Hayne Impresses Again in NFL Preseason

Jarryd Hayne's campaign to break into the NFL as a 27-year-old rookie is going pretty well.

In Week 1 of preseason action, Hayne made headlines across America with a series of great runs against the Houston Texans, and he continued that form in Monday's clash with the Dallas Cowboys.

In the first quarter alone, Hayne returned punts for 27, 34 and 23 yards, and he now has 235 total yards through two games.

Hayne has impressed in the U.S. and Australia alike, with some Aussie media getting into a celebratory mood already.

The SF Gate was sold on Hayne's performance.

Coach Jim Tomsula refused to get carried away by the hype but admitted that Hayne has a chance.

After a forgettable offseason in the Bay Area, Hayne has given the 49ers faithful a reason to cheer again.
