Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle's Post-Preseason Week 2 Fantasy Advice
Fantasy football owners have been burned one too many times by Darren McFadden in the past. The good news is that Joseph Randle looks to have a firm hold on the Dallas Cowboys' starting running back job.
There was some concern Randle might miss Sunday's preseason game with the San Francisco 49ers altogether after tweaking an oblique injury. Not only did the 23-year-old playing, but he also received the bulk of the carries:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
NFL.com's Matt Harmon wasn't exactly optimistic after watching McFadden's first touches of the game:
Babe Laufenberg also pointed to what has been a downward trend for the veteran running back:
At this point, everybody knows what McFadden will offer. He has played a full 16-game regular season once in his seven-year career, and outside of his 2010 campaign, he hasn't been that great when healthy.
In an interview on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas (via the Dallas Morning News), the 27-year-old admitted his best-case scenario is likely receiving split duty with Randle:
"You know the competitor in me definitely wants to be the No. 1 guy that goes out there. But at the same time, it's like, man, you know we're going to split carries. So whoever goes out there or goes out there second—I just know whenever I do get a chance to get the ball in my hands, I'm going to go out there and go 110 percent.
"
Behind a great run-blocking unit, maybe McFadden has a breakout season. Maybe you're willing to gamble on him, but you'd be deluding yourself if you valued him as anything more than a flex option right now. Not only has he been inconsistent over the years, but there's also no guarantee he'll get a high volume of touches.
Meanwhile, Randle is a RB2 in standard leagues. He showed some flashes while spelling DeMarco Murray in 2014, and the Cowboys offensive line will open up plenty of holes for him on the ground.
The 23-year-old should receive enough carries to be a consistent starter for your team, but you won't want to rely on him too heavily as the year goes on.
