Larson, who finished 12th in Sunday's race, entered the final competition with a significant lead in the Cup Series points standings, and it didn't take much for him to seal the victory. Here's the final look at how things shook out:

Larson earned three wins and 21 top-10 finishes during the 2026 season. He placed in the top five 15 times to maintain his lead atop the points standings. His victory at Gateway on Sept. 13 broke a 51-race winless streak.
Larson is the first driver to go back-to-back since Jimmie Johnson in 2009 and 2010. He is now one of 11 drivers to win three or more career Cup Series titles, joining Johnson, Joey Logano, Tony Stewart, Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, David Pearson, Lee Petty, Richard Petty, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt.
For Blaney, this marks the second straight year that he earned a win in the Championship final race.
However, the day belonged to Hendrick Motorsports and Larson, who etched his name into history alongside some of the all-time greats.
