Members of the Detroit Lions wore Jack Campbell's No. 46 jersey as they arrived at Hard Rock Stadium for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Campbell remains hospitalized due to the neck injury he suffered in the team's 19-15 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions officially placed him on injured reserve Saturday.

On Wednesday, the team released a statement from Campbell, who said he's "incredibly encouraged by the progress I've made in such a short period of time."

"I have full movement in my lower body, and I'm continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body," he said. "I know there's still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I'm taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better."

Campbell's alma mater honored him Saturday. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said he set aside one of the game balls from the 24-10 win over Northwestern for the 2022 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

Campbell, a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, is in his fourth year with the Lions. An All-Pro and Pro Bowler a season ago, he signed an $81 million extension in May.
