Conor McGregor Updates UFC Future in NSFW Video, Eyes Max Holloway Trilogy Fight Amid Injury Rehab

Conor McGregor has one fight left on his UFC contract, and per comments made to reporters at the BKFC 96 post-fight press conference, he plans to go out "violently, viciously" and in a "blaze of glory."

McGregor suffered a torn ACL during a fight with Max Holloway at UFC 329 last July. It was the former two-class UFC champion's first fight in five years.

McGregor also had some choice words for Holloway, per Adam Martin of Heavy.

"The guy didnt engage once. He's the one that called for the stoppage… I'd have done him on the one leg. Holloway might be a jackass, something might happen. But a fighter that fights me, put some respect on my name. If you're not a world champion fighter, don't even utter my (expletive) name. If you've done (expletive) all but got a few likes, go (expletive) yourself."

McGregor previously fought Holloway in 2013, winning via unanimous decision. It's clear he'd like to fight Holloway in his last-ever UFC bout to complete the trilogy.

As for his post-UFC future, McGregor has his eye on bareknuckle fighting, per comments made to Ahmad Hamilson (h/t Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie).

"I really enjoy bareknuckle fighting," McGregor said. "I don't think there's any chance of a boring fight in bareknuckle. Now, I am a mixed martial artist. Maybe I'm just saying this because I had a bad time out the last time. Good MMA, really good MMA, is hard to beat, but bareknuckle is very exciting, very dangerous and it takes more courage. I'm looking forward to a bareknuckle fight myself."

The 38-year-old McGregor is 22-7 lifetime is professional mixed martial arts with 19 knockouts. In 2016, he became the first MMA fighter to hold UFC champions in two weight classes at the same time (featherweight and lightweight) when he beat Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight championship.

McGregor has won only one of five fights since then, a first-round TKO over Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in Jan. 2020.
