UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs. Walker Live Updates, Highlights and Results

The UFC is back in Las Vegas tonight, with a heavyweight main event that is sure to shake the Octagon.

The card was originally set to be headlined by a clash of welterweight contenders, with Sean Brady taking on Gabriel Bonfim. When Brady was sidelined with a staph infection, however, the UFC put together a short-notice heavyweight matchup between Waldo Cortes Acosta and Johnny Walker to serve as the new headliner.

It's a big fight—and not just because of the size of the competitors involved.

Cortes Acosta, from the Dominican Republic, is one of the top contenders in the weight class despite back-to-back decision losses to Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov. Brazil's Walker, on the other hand, recently moved up from the light heavyweight division, debuting with a violent knockout of Mick Parkin. The winner of their fight won't be up next for a title shot, but he will be well on his way.

There's plenty more on offer in Las Vegas tonight. In the co-main event, former strawweight title challengers Virna Jandiroba and Tatiana Suarez will collide in pursuit of a crack at champ Mackenzie Dern.

Earlier on the bill, we'll get a fan-friendly bantamweight scrap between Davey Grant and Elijah Smith, and appearances from a bunch of promising prospects and tough veterans.

The undercard will kick off at 5 p.m. ET, and the main card will begin at 8 p.m. ET. As always, B/R will be covering all of the action, from beginning to end.
