New WWE Rumors on Creed Brothers' Status After Being Moved to Company's Alumni Section
Former NXT tag team champions the Creed Brothers are reportedly departing WWE after six years with the company.
According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Julius and Brutus Creed saw their WWE contracts expire, and their WWE exit "appears to be a mutual parting of ways."
Sapp's report came on the heels of multiple social media posts by people who noticed the Creed Brothers had been moved from the active roster to the alumni section on WWE.com:
Julius and Brutus signed developmental deals with WWE in late 2020 and early 2021, respectively, and by the summer of 2021, they were a consistent presence on NXT programming.
The Creeds won the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and then won the NXT Tag Team Championships later that year.
They got called up to WWE's main roster in 2023 and joined forces with Chad Gable the following year, but they never quite found their footing as a tag team on Raw or SmackDown.
Julius and Brutus had recently returned to NXT in September and competed in the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Their final WWE match was a loss to Hank & Tank in the quarterfinals of the tournament on Oct. 20.
Given their ability and background, the Creed Brothers figure to generate at least some interest from other pro wrestling companies as free agents.
Julius, whose real name is Jacob Kasper, was an ACC heavyweight amateur wrestling champion at Duke University, while Brutus, whose real name is Drew Kasper, was a two-time Division III All-American in wrestling.
Pro wrestling promotions often look for that type of legitimacy in their wrestlers, which suggests that the Creed Brothers could be an option for AEW, TNA, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, MLW and any number of other companies outside of WWE.
