Shedeur Sanders' Brother Shilo Calls Out Browns Reporters for 'Messy' Questions to QB in New Video
Shilo Sanders, the brother of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, posted a video criticizing reporters for their "messy questions" while watching his brother's Wednesday press conference.
"He handled that interview really good," Shilo said. "They try to get him caught up in stuff, and he's good at just keeping the main thing the main thing, and just focusing on what's important, and that's winning games and doing your job. So that was a great interview by Shedeur."
Sanders has served as the backup quarterback through the early portion of the 2026 season, but he is expected to make his first start of the season against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He's likely to step in for starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, who entered the NFL's concussion protocol after reporting concussion symptoms on Tuesday.
Sanders drew attention for the way he handled the press conference in which he fielded questions about the Saints, his recent decision to hire an agent and Watson's performance this season.
When asked if he's had a chance to study the Saints defense, Sanders offered a cryptic answer.
"Yeah, I seen a lot," Sanders said. "When I smile, you know that means – something. I'm maturing, I'm maturing. I could have gave that a decent answer, but now I'm just going to smile whenever it's just like some questions."
Sanders also dismissed a question about his decision to hire an agent, which Shilo called a "setup question."
"What's that have to do with this game?" Shedeur said. "I'm focused on this game. Anything else really doesn't matter at this point."
Shedeur has had a contentious relationship with eporters ever since he was selected in the the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The second-year quarterback was expected to be a first-round pick before he tumbled down the draft board, and a media frenzy has surrounded the 24-year-old ever since his arrival in Cleveland.
Although Watson has led the Browns to a 5-3 record, Sanders could potentially make a case for the starting position with a strong performance against the struggling Saints defense.
