Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson Was Hospitalized for 'Medical Emergency' After 'Neurological Symptoms'

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson was recently hospitalized after "an unexpected and unusual medical emergency."

In a statement released on Friday, Henderson said he was hospitalized for several days after experiencing "neurological symptoms" that led to him undergoing comprehensive medical testing that came back "positive and reassuring" even though the root cause of the issue is "unknown and unexplainable."

Henderson's statement noted his symptoms have affected his "strength, coordination and some of my physical functions."

There is no indication of when Henderson might return to football activities.

The Patriots' official injury report listed Henderson as a DNP in their first two practice sessions this week on Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness. He also missed their last two practices going into Week 8 for the same reason.

Head coach Mike Vrabel did not provide much insight into the situation with Henderson after his appearance on the injury report last week.

After missing Week 1 due to an ankle injury, Henderson appeared in six straight games for the Patriots. His usage had been down in his final three games when he was on the field for a total of 41 offensive snaps.

A second-round pick in the 2025 draft, Henderson led the Patriots in rushing attempts (180), rushing yards (911) and rushing touchdowns (nine). He helped New England win the AFC East for the first time since 2019 and reach the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2018 season.

New England has won four of its last five games and will host the Green Bay Packers at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
