Tiger Woods' Potential PGA Tour Champions Future Discussed By Alker, 'He Wants to Add to His Tally'
Tiger Woods has yet to announce if and when he'll return to professional golf, but it appears the 50-year-old is making progress towards playing the PGA Tour Champions.
Two-time Charles Schwab Cup champion Steven Alker said Woods has had "talk" with other PGA Tour Champions players about Woods joining the circuit.
"This talk, yeah, he seriously wants to come out, there's inside talking," Alker told Golfweek's Todd Kelly (h/t Heavy's Henry DiGennaro). "He wants to come out and play, and in particular, I think the big events, like the invitationals or Stricker's event and the Furyk event. He's got his buddies who really him to do their events. You got the USGA, you got the U.S. Senior Open. He wants to add to his tally, you know? "I seriously think he'll come out if he gets fit and in the right mind."
While there's no timeline for Woods' PGA Tour or Tour Champions' return, he is "expected" to play for the Jupiter Links Golf Club in the Dec. 27 opener of TGL's third season, according to ESPN's Mark Schlabach.
Woods played in just one GL match last season because of back surgery. He hasn't appeared in a PGA Tour event since 2024.
