'S--t is Frustrating,' CeeDee Lamb Opens Up on Cowboys' Offensive Struggles Amid Losing Record

Andrew PetersNov 5, 2026

The Dallas Cowboys' defense held them back from reaching the playoffs last year despite an incredible offense, but that hasn't been the case this year.

While Dallas' defense has continued to struggle, the offense has likewise had a rough year. Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is clearly upset with how things have gone for his unit.

"We stop ourselves. That s--t is frustrating. It's annoying. I hate it," Lamb told reporters Thursday. "Then ultimately we end up losing, so there's that."

Last season, the Cowboys had a top-five offense but missed the playoffs because of a defense that ranked among the bottom of the league. This season, Dallas' offense ranks 13th in yards per game (342) and seventh in points per game (27.4).

While their scoring numbers on the surface don't look too bad, it hasn't been enough to make up for the Cowboys' defense, which ranks last in yards allowed per game (385.4) and sixth in points allowed per game (26.6).

Dallas could still reach the playoffs, but it will need its offense to return to what it was last year to try to answer for the defensive woes.
