New Breece Hall Trade Rumors Update Jets Stance Ahead of 2026 NFL Deadline

The New York Jets have some decisions to make ahead of the NFL trade deadline, but appears one of their biggest stars will not be moving.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Breece Hall will not be traded despite interest:

SNY's Connor Hughes had first reported that running back Breece Hall has been popular throughout the rumor mill.

Sources told Hughes, though, that the Jets haven't engaged in "realistic conversations" about dealing the 25-year-old. They say that the Jets like the idea of Hall and Braelon Allen as a 1-2 punch as a part of their future.

The Jets are 2-6 and won't be buying at the deadline, but if they view Hall as one of their pieces to become a contender beyond this season, it might have taken a lot for them to move him, even if teams across the league show interest.

Hughes reported it would take a second-round pick or a third-round pick and more to convince the Jets to seriously consider trading Hall.

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has been the most speculated name on the trade block, so if a team loses on that sweepstakes, they might be willing to overpay for Hall. For now, though, it seems like the Jets are likely to keep their star rusher.
