Joe Milton 'Has a F--king Cannon,' Eagles Players React to QB Change Amid Jalen Hurts Injury
The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly turning to Joe Milton III as the starting quarterback this week against the New York Giants as the offense continues to sputter without starter Jalen Hurts, who was lost for the season due to blood clots.
And left tackle Jordan Mailata is already admiring his throwing power.
"It is a f--king cannon," he told reporters of Milton's right arm. "Oh my god. Pardon my language, but... you see it on TV, you hear about it when he was going through the draft, but then when you see it it's a work of art."

Other Birds also reacted to Milton as well, though there was some mixed messaging about whether he has actually been named the starter:
Tanner McKee was given a shot to handle the starting duties in lieu of Hurts and struggled, throwing for 638 yards, two scores and two interceptions in three games while taking 10 sacks. The Eagles find themselves mired in a six-game losing streak while the offense continues to be a slog under head coach Nick Sirianni and first-time offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, ranking dead last in yards (265.3 YPG) and 30th in scoring (17.1 PPG).
Some sort of change was needed. For now, it's Milton taking over at quarterback. In the offseason, those changes may be more foundational in nature.
