Tom Brady Previews 'Emotional' Return to Patriots' Gillette Stadium for 1st Time as Broadcaster

Scott PolacekNov 3, 2026

Tom Brady is a New England Patriots legend, and he expects his return to Gillette Stadium as a broadcaster for the first time to be an "emotional" one.

"It'll be certainly emotional," Brady said during a conversation with Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd. "I mean every inch of that stadium I've been through so many times, from the locker rooms to the meeting rooms to the field. There are just so many memorable plays in that stadium, big games, championship games and rivalry games. Division-clinching games.

"To be back there and to really understand what that Patriot organization is all about and to convey that to the fans in a way where I'm not talking about myself, I'm really talking about this awesome program that's been built. The Patriots just always seem to do things the right way."

Brady will be the color commentator for Fox Sports' broadcast of Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Green Bay Packers.

What's more, Sunday will mark Rob Gronkowski's induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame. It is fitting that Brady will be in attendance seeing how they won four Super Bowls together, three of which came in New England.

The Patriots were the gold standard of the league for much of Brady's iconic tenure, winning six Super Bowls and reaching the game another three times. Brady went on to win another Lombardi Trophy with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his seven Super Bowl titles are more than any single NFL franchise can claim.

While Brady finished his career with Tampa Bay, he is most closely associated with the Patriots.

And the team further cemented his legacy in 2025 when it unveiled his statue outside Gillette Stadium.

He will be back in person Sunday, and the fans will surely greet him with the warmest of welcomes after he brought the franchise so much sustained success.
