LSU Makes WCBB History with Massive Margin of Victory in Season Opener vs. SE Louisiana

LSU's women's basketball team started the 2026-27 campaign off with a historic win.

The Tigers downed Southeastern Louisiana 129-35, setting a new program record for margin of victory.

Six different tigers were in double figures in the win, with ZaKiyah Johnson leading the way with 33 points and 13 boards. LSU also shot a scorching-hot 56 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep.

The Tigers have much harder games ahead of them, but dominating like that in the first game of the season is a good start.
