Eagles' Sirianni Talks Potential QB, OC Changes Amid Jalen Hurts' Injury, 6-Game Losing Streak

Andrew PetersNov 2, 2026

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost six straight games, but head coach Nick Sirianni isn't planning on making any drastic changes.

Sirianni said he won't relieve offensive coordinator Sean Mannion of his duties, and Tanner McKee will remain the starting quarterback.

"I'm not making any changes there," Sirianni told reporters when asked about his coaching staff. "It is on all of us to figure out how to get things going in the right direction. Obviously, right now they're not. But again, this is the ultimate team game and we're in the problem-solving business. Right now, we have to find answers to help us get going offensively. Again, that brunt falls on myself, that falls on Sean, and we're going to do everything we can to get ourselves out of this."

The Eagles haven't won since Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans and are without star quarterback Jalen Hurts for the remainder of the year because of blood clots.

In a 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, McKee had 212 yards and an interception on 23-of-34 passing. The 2023 sixth-round pick has thrown for 638 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in three games.

"Tanner's our guy. We're not making any changes there," Sirianni said. "Again, how do we find solutions? That could be within scheme, that could be within how our schedule is, practice plays. Everything's on the table for us in that aspect. But right now, this is where we are and we're trying to find solutions there. We're looking at everything as far as what we can do differently as coaches."

Behind McKee is Joe Milton, whom the Eagles signed off the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad. Milton, a sixth-round pick in 2024, threw for 183 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions while backing up Dak Prescott last year.

Philadelphia also has rookie Cole Payton available. The fifth-round pick has not yet appeared in a game for the Eagles.

Mannion retired from the NFL in 2023 and spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, first as an offensive assistant and then as the quarterbacks coach. The Eagles gave him his first offensive coordinator job this year, and it hasn't gone well so far.

Philadelphia ranks last in yards per game (265.3) and 30th in points per game (17.1).

But Mannion has had plenty of challenges to overcome, mainly injuries, and it seems Sirianni wants to see things through before giving up on him.
