Steve Kerr Praises Gabby Williams, Valkyries After 2026 WNBA Finals Win vs. Angel Reese, Dream

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr greatly enjoyed watching the Valkyries win Saturday's Game 7 WNBA Finals matchup against the Atlanta Dream, 68-63, winning a title in just their second year of existence.

"Awesome. Just an incredible game," he told reporters. "The drama, the grit. Just a typical Game 7. Finding a way. Gabby Williams just erupting in that second half was amazing to watch. ... As a basketball fan I think you embrace games like that. Just watching what it takes, the competitive desire of both teams and everything on the line. And how fun it is for us as fans and how incredibly stressful it is for the teams involved."

The aforementioned Williams was the hero, posting 28 of her 30 points in the second half.

It was a historic moment for the Valkyries, and Kerr was among many in the Bay Area who enjoyed watching it all transpire.
