The Cowboys fell to 3-5 with the defeat, as they've now lost three of their past four games.
Jones was also noncommittal when asked if he had any concerns about Schottenheimer not getting things done.
"Well, I don't know," Jones said, per Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News. "None of us are getting it done and that should be my concern. So I'm not pointing at Schotty, I'm not pointing to anybody, but none of us have it done. I haven't been involved in too many games that we should have wanted and we had the opportunities we had to win this game. So that is a big snapshot that we want to put above our mirror."
The Cowboys struggled early on offense against Arizona, but were still able to take a 14-3 lead at halftime before extending their advantage to 17-3 in the third quarter.
Dallas appeared to be headed towards a win after the Cardinals benched starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett near the end of the third, but backup passer Gardner Minshew entered the game and helped Arizona outscore the Cowboys 27-13 throughout the remainder of regulation.
Still, the Cowboys gained some momentum after the Cardinals missed a potential game-winning extra point and were forced to punt on the first drive of overtime.
The excitement was short-lived, as Dallas lost five yards on three plays before punting the ball back to Arizona.
The Cardinals kicked a 42-yard field goal on their final drive, securing the victory.
It was a particularly disappointing performance from the Cowboys, as they were facing the backup quarterback of an Arizona squad that ranked No. 26 among all teams by averaging just 20.3 points per game heading into Sunday's action.
Schottenheimer may not be in danger of losing his job just yet, but his seat is getting hotter.
