Ashton Jeanty's Reduced Role Addressed By Raiders' Klint Kubiak After Win vs. Jets
Las Vegas Raiders second-year running back Ashton Jeanty had his snaps decreased significantly against the New York Jets on Sunday, with Mike Washington Jr. getting the bulk of the work in the backfield.
After the game, Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak addressed Jeanty's decreased role.
"That's my call, and Ashton still going to be a big part of our team," Kubiak told reporters.

Early Week 8 Takeaways š
Kubiak added that the comments Jeanty made about the Jets earlier this week weren't a factor in his decreased reps.
"I think we can definitely get the run game going, get back on track, just really get after this guys," Jeanty told reporters before facing the Jets. "Couple of guys out there that don't really want to tackle, but I'm not going to say names."
Jeanty said it was "communicated" to him before the game that he would get fewer carries.
"We won. It doesn't matter how I feel about how [many] times I get the ball," he told reporters. "Whatever it takes for the team to win, I just want to win. That's all."
Jeanty had just two carries on the day, the fewest he's received in a game since being drafted by the Raiders. He was still active in the passing game, hauling in three catches for 64 yards in the 38-33 win.
Washington took over as the Raiders' RB1 for the day, picking up 83 rushing yards on 25 carries.
Jeanty has had a decent season, but perhaps hasn't played as well as the Raiders hoped he would. Whether he'll go back to being the top option in the backfield next week remains to be seen.
