Jeffery Simmons' Bears Jersey Number Revealed New Photo After Surprise Titans Trade

The Chicago Bears revealed that four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, who officially arrived in town via trade on Thursday, will wear No. 99.

The Bears acquired Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round draft pick from the Titans for 2027 and 2028 first-round selections and a 2027 fourth-round choice.

Simmons wore No. 98 for seven-plus seasons with Tennessee. However, Bears defensive end Montez Sweat—who was college teammates with Simmons at Mississippi State—has No. 98.

The former Bulldogs star had his best NFL season in 2025, amassing a career-high 11 sacks, 67 tackles (39 solo) and 21 quarterback hits. He earned All-Pro First Team honors.

Simmons has continued his standout play in 2026, racking up four sacks, 38 tackles (20 solo) and nine quarterback hits in seven games.

Now the 5-2 Bears have him aboard just in time for a huge NFC battle on Monday evening at the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
