Angel Reese Has 'No Doubt' Dream Will 'Fight Back,' Force WNBA Finals Game 7 vs. Valkyries
Angel Reese feels the Atlanta Dream's biggest opponent in Thursday's must-win Game 6 of the 2026 WNBA Finals might be self-inflicted mistakes rather than the Golden State Valkyries.
"We watched a lot of film, and the mistakes that we've made have literally just been us," Reese said Wednesday (h/t WBS-TV). "Like, kudos to Golden State for their defense, for sure, but we've gotten a lot of great looks. We just haven't hit the shot yet.
"And it's coming. I don't believe that it's not coming... I have no doubt that this team will come back, and fight back, and win this Game 6 and then move on from it."
The Valkyries are heading into Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead after claiming a 64-55 victory Monday at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Golden State won Game 5 thanks to a stifling defensive effort led by Kiah Stokes. The Valkyries forced the Dream to commit 17 turnovers while holding Reese to 2-for-8 shooting.
The Dream, which will be playing in what the team has announced is a sold-out State Farm Arena in Atlanta, will need to find a way to cut down on turnovers and start forcing more of their own in order to force a winner-takes-all Game 7.
Tip-off for Game 6 is set for 12:30 p.m. ET Tuesday.
