A.J. Brown Takes Blame for Errors in Patriots' Loss to Bears, Says He's 'Pushing Through' Injury
A.J. Brown had his third straight disappointing performance since returning from injury on Thursday night, registering just three catches for 48 yards on six targets during a 30-24 loss against the Chicago Bears.
On Wednesday, he told reporters he may still be somewhat limited following a high-ankle sprain that resulted in a stint on injured reserve earlier in the season, but said it wasn't an excuse for missing blocks or failing to have a bigger impact:

It's safe to say that the offseason trade for Brown—the Patriots sent a 2028 first-round pick and 2027 fifth-rounder to the Philadelphia Eagles for the veteran wideout—hasn't looked great thus far.
In just three games with the team he's posted nine catches for 101 yards and no touchdowns on 20 targets, dropping multiple passes. He'll have a chance to change the narrative on Sunday, however, when the Patriots face the 1-5 Miami Dolphins.
