Jahmyr Gibbs Reacts to Viral Video of Lions Celebrating After Packers Penalty in Rivalry Game

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs says his team's viral reaction to drawing a crucial offsides penalty in a Week 7 win over the Green Bay Packers can be traced back to a tradition shared by himself and teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Gibbs said in a Wednesday appearance on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show he and St. Brown have been celebrating opponents' offsides calls with the same move since debuting it in practice two years ago.

"Ever since then, every time we draw them offsides, we do that dance," Gibbs said. "But this time, it was different. Everybody started doing something different. That was funny."

Wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa could be seen joining Gibbs and St. Brown in their dance as other teammates went through a range of reactions to the Packers jumping offsides on a Lions three-and-five with two minutes remaining in last Sunday's matchup.

The Lions earned an automatic first down on the play and went on to cap off the drive with a game-winning 22-yard field goal from Jake Bates.

The game-winning drive, which allowed the Lions to recover from a failed attempt by Gibbs to run in a fourth-and-1 the possession prior, helped the Lions improve to 4-2 and remain undefeated at home.

The Lions will now get a chance to make up some ground in the battle for the top of the NFC North with a Sunday matchup against the visiting Minnesota Vikings.
