Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn Winner, Top Highlights from WWE Crown Jewel 2026

World heavyweight champion Roman Reigns beat undisputed WWE champion Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel on Saturday to win the Men's Crown Jewel Championship.

Reigns kicked out of a Helluva Kick, then survived another after an incapacitated referee delayed the count until a replacement arrived. Zayn later survived a spear following another delayed count.

Ultimately, Reigns hit Zayn with a pair of spears to win the match, and they showed their respect for one another afterward with a hug:

This year marked the third time that the top champions in WWE's men's and women's divisions clashed at Crown Jewel for the right to be recognized as Crown Jewel champion, and the battle for the men's title featured two Superstars with a significant amount of history.

In 2022, Zayn began working with Reigns and The Bloodline. Although some members of the group were resistant to Zayn's involvement, he was eventually named Honorary Uce and became a key part of the stable.

Zayn helped Reigns in his matches on numerous occasions, and he is a big reason why The Tribal Chief was world champion for 1,316 consecutive days.

Things broke down between Zayn and Reigns at Royal Rumble 2023, though, when Sami refused to join The Bloodline in brutally attacking his longtime friend, Kevin Owens.

Zayn hit Reigns with a steel chair instead, leading to a massive showdown between them at Elimination Chamber in Zayn's hometown of Montreal.

Reigns won the match and retained the title, but Zayn ultimately still got vengeance against The Bloodline by teaming with Owens to beat The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 39.

Zayn later reunited with Reigns and The Usos as part of the Original Bloodline ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames in 2024. Their shared history returned to the forefront heading into Crown Jewel, where they entered as WWE's two men's world champions.

In the weeks leading up to Crown Jewel, Reigns and Zayn rehashed some of what happened between them in the past, and Sami took umbrage with Roman perhaps not taking him seriously as a threat.

Zayn had a chance to prove he could hang with Reigns and even beat him at Crown Jewel, but The OTC rose to the occasion as he so often does and secured the Men's Crown Jewel Championship.
