New NFL Trade Rumors on DeForest Buckner After Colts Deal Quenton Nelson to Seahawks
The Indianapolis Colts are "actively shopping" defensive tackle DeForest Buckner ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline, according to insider Jordan Schultz.
The Colts are 2-5 and have fired general manager Chris Ballard, leading many to wonder whether they'll be a big seller at the deadline and kick off a rebuild.
Quenton Nelson was the first big domino to fall, with ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting that the offensive guard is on his way to the Seattle Seahawks.

Buckner is in his age-32 season and will be a free agent in the spring. If the Colts are resigned to missing the playoffs, which it appears they are, then it doesn't make a lot of sense to keep him on the roster through November.
Indianapolis should be able to get a solid return on the three-time Pro Bowler as well. Through seven games, he has 31 combined tackles with four sacks and three pass breakups.
Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday the San Francisco 49ers could pursue a reunion with Buckner. The Niners already have a top-10 defense but know their championship window won't be open forever.
San Francisco may not sit idly by after Seattle made a big move to improve, either.
The Chicago Bears also jump out as this is the time to be aggressive with quarterback Caleb Williams still on his rookie contract.
Chicago ranks 26th in run-stopping win rate, per ESPN.com. The line is missing the presence of Gervon Dexter Sr. on the inside.
Buckner would address that need.
