NFL Coach Reacts to Aaron Rodgers, McCarthy 'Calling Each Other F--king Ass--les' on TV

After improving to 5-2 this season, the Pittsburgh Steelers appear to have moved on from the spat between veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy from earlier in the year.

The Athletic's Mike Sando spoke to an NFL coach who praised Rodgers and McCarthy for overcoming the early-season turmoil after they were caught exchanging expletives back and forth during a Week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

"They are calling each other f--king ass--les and embarrassing each other on national TV, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went and got a beer on (East) Carson Street afterward," the coach said. "They are bonded forever."

The Steelers won their third straight game on Sunday, defeating the New Orleans Saints 16-10 in Paris. Despite a lackluster offensive performance, Pittsburgh's defense did enough to secure the victory.

The coach went on to tell Sando, "They actually could win a playoff game," pointing to the team's grind-it-out approach.

"This thing has a chance," the coach said. "The strong defense (fifth in expected points added per play) and run game (fourth in EPA per rush) are what make it really compelling."

The Steelers will try to continue their winning ways when they face the Cleveland Browns (5-2) with first place in the AFC North on the line in Week 8.
