The Packers got off to a bit of a rough start, missing a makeable field goal on their opening drive. The Lions then struck first, taking the ball 80 yards down the field and scoring on a pass from Jared Goff to Jameson Williams.
Green Bay answered right back, though, scoring on its next drive when Jordan Love found Tucker Kraft on a 14-yard touchdown pass.
The Lions added a field goal in the second quarter and got into field goal range again just before halftime, but Jahmyr Gibbs fumbled, squandering Detroit's chance to add more before the break.
On the first drive out of halftime, the Lions once again fumbled, and this one gave the Packers excellent field position. They took advantage of it, scoring on a pass from Love to Josh Jacobs.
Green Bay's lead didn't last long, though, as the Lions responded with a touchdown of their own to make it a 17-14 game.
Love threw an interception to start the fourth quarter, but it wasn't too costly, as the Lions failed to capitalize on it.
Love bounced back well from the interception and led the Packers to a field goal on the following drive to tie things up. From there, the Lions got bold and went for it on fourth down in their own territory but turned it over on downs.
The decision didn't come back to haunt them, though, as the Lions managed to block the Packers' go-ahead field goal attempt.
With the momentum of the blocked field goal on their side, the Lions marched down the field and drilled their own go-ahead field goal, leaving no time on the clock.
The win helps the Lions improve to 4-2 on the year, and they'll look to pick up another divisional win next week against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings.
