Junior Caminero Has 'Already Forgotten' Rays' 2 Losses to Brewers in MLB World Series
The Tampa Bay Rays have no choice but to move on after losing the first two games of the World Series to the Milwaukee Brewers, and Junior Caminero is doing just that.
"I've already forgotten about these last two days," he said following Saturday's 5-4 loss, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. "The series in my mind starts Monday."
It seemed like the Rays were going to earn the split in Milwaukee when they jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning behind RBI singles from Chandler Simpson and Caminero as well as a two-run homer from Liam Hicks.

However, the visitors didn't score another run the rest of the game.
That they struggled with the Milwaukee bullpen comes as no surprise. Rosenthal noted Brewers relief pitchers have allowed just one run in 10 innings in this series compared to the three runs in 7.1 innings the Tampa Bay bullpen has allowed.ย
It is more of the same from the group that features Aaron Ashby and Abner Uribe, which also controlled the National League Championship Series sweep over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The sixth inning didn't help, either, as the Rays made a number of mistakes.
Hicks was thrown out at home on a two-out single by Victor Mesa Jr. in the top of the frame before Sal Frelick tied the game with a homer in the bottom of the inning. What's more, Rays left fielder Chandler Simpson didn't catch a fly ball from Christian Yelich, although it was not ruled an error.
Caminero started yelling in the dugout after the inning and explained he was "trying to help the team, get our heads up. Just trying to create some energy and get some life back into us," per Rosenthal.
"We had to get outs. At that moment, we weren't doing our job," he continued. "Against Milwaukee, if you give up outs, they're going to use that against you, and that's what happened. I was trying to (convey) the message, we've got to get outs."
Perhaps things will go better for the Rays when the series shifts home. After all, Caminero is already putting the road games behind him.
