Who's Winning World Series MVP? 👑

MLB World Series 2026 Box Score Stat Predictions for Brewers vs. Rays Game 3

Erik BeastonOct 25, 2026

The Milwaukee Brewers are two games away from winning the franchise's first World Series after taking a 2-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the Fall Classic on Saturday night.

The American League champs have a chance to claw their way back into the battle for the Commissioner's Trophy as the series heads south to Florida.

Who will be key contributors for the Rays, and which Brewers could ensure the team inches one step closer to another definitive postseason sweep?

Let's take a look at these stat predictions for Game 3.

Rays Starter: Freddy Peralta, Tampa Bay

1 of 4
World Series - Tampa Bay Rays v Milwaukee Brewers - Game 2

ALCS MVP Freddy Peralta makes his World Series debut on Monday night as he takes the mound for the Rays against the team he played the majority of his career with.

While the righty was dominant against Cleveland (0.75 ERA, nine strikeouts in three appearances), he did not fare well against his friends in Milwaukee, the only time he faced them this year.

During his thankfully short stint with the New York Mets, Peralta played his former team once and was beaten up. Badly. In a July 20 start against the Brewers, Peralta went 5.1 innings, gave up eight hits, seven earned runs, and two home runs. He left the game with an ERA of 11.81.

Since moving to Tampa at the deadline, he has been a vastly improved pitcher and has been a major reason for the team's relative dominance against Cleveland. Showing improved command of his stuff and benefiting from better coaching, he has the opportunity to make up for that first showdown against the Brewers.

Do not expect nearly as disastrous a start from Peralta, especially with a 7-0 record and 0.89 ERA since August.

Prediction: 6.2 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K

Brewers Starter: Robert Gasser

Gasser came out of nowhere, replacing Dustin May and becoming one-third of the most electric, young starting rotation in baseball.

Beginning his year in Triple A, he has made the most of the opportunities presented to him, including key performances against the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers, each of which helped Milwaukee get over the hump and into its first World Series in four decades.

Possessing a sweeper that will confuse any batter, he has become increasingly confident with every start.

Monday, he arrives at Tropicana Field having conceded just one run in nine postseason innings, per MLB.com.

If he can resist the moment from getting too big for him and can stay focused while throwing the stuff that has earned him this opportunity, Gasser has the goods to put his team up 3-0, with a chance to win the most coveted prize in the sport.

Prediction: 5.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 5 K

Brewers Hitter: Jackson Chourio

3 of 4
World Series - Tampa Bay Rays v Milwaukee Brewers - Game 2

The 22-year-old Venezuelan has lived up to lofty expectations this offseason, particularly over the last four games against the Dodgers and Rays.

In those games, he has delivered five hits, three runs, one home run, two RBI, and two stolen bases.

He has been outstanding for the Brewers and a huge part of their success.

It is difficult to forecast how he will perform against Peralta, having played the former Brewers ace just once. In two at-bats, he walked once and struck out the other.

Considering how hot he is now, though, it is difficult to imagine such a lackluster stat line Monday night in Tampa. It may not be as sparkling as some of his other performances to this point in the postseason, but Chourio will have greater success than in his first meeting with the fastball-throwing righty.

Prediction: 3 AB, H, RBI, BB, K

Rays Hitter: Junior Caminero

4 of 4
World Series - Tampa Bay Rays v Milwaukee Brewers - Game 2

The Rays' lack of success against Milwaukee to this point is not for lack of trying on Cameinero's part.

The 23-year-old has two hits, one run, and one strikeout against the NL champs in seven at-bats.

Against the series-deciding win over Cleveland, he delivered two hits, two runs, a home run, and two RBI in three at-bats.

Heading home to Florida, with a chance to put a dent in Milwaukee's two-game lead in this World Series, expect dramatics from Caminero as he looks to help carry the Rays back from the brink.

Prediction: 3 AB, 2 H, R, K
