Week 7 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet for Deep NFL Sleepers to Target

Kristopher KnoxOct 22, 2026

Week 7 is set to kick off with Thursday night's matchup between the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.

While the Bears recently got star quarterback Caleb Williams back in the lineup, the Patriots just placed receiver Romeo Doubs on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately, Doubs' injury won't be the only one with which fantasy managers will need to be concerned this week and moving forward.

Jalen Hurts will miss the rest of the season as he undergoes treatment for blood clots. Davante Adams will miss between six and 10 weeks with a hamstring injury.

In addition to the latest rash of injuries, managers will have to deal with the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders being on bye this week.

Naturally, managers will be looking for sleepers and waiver-wire targets to help fill the void.

Here, you'll find updated rankings for Week 7, a cheat sheet for value plays, and a look at some top options who may still be available on the waiver wire. All rankings and picks are based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.

Waiver-Wire Target: Mike Washington Jr., RB, Las Vegas Raiders

3 of 4
Raiders Chargers Football

The Las Vegas Raiders have a solid starting running back in Ashton Jeanty, but the second-year man hasn't been healthy all season. He's dealing with a foot injury now and appeared to be far less than 100 percent during Sunday's offensive slugfest with the Buffalo Bills.

While Jeanty led the Raiders in carries, it was rookie Mike Washington Jr. who led the team in rushing yards. He averaged 4.8 yards per rush against Buffalo, far exceeding Jeanty's 2.2 yards-per-carry average.

While Washington's Week 6 performance yielded just six fantasy points, he could see a bigger offensive role moving forward.

The Raiders will face a middling Los Angeles Rams defense (!6th-most fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs) this week. Washington is rostered in just 37 percent of fantasy leagues.

Waiver-Wire Target: Omar Cooper Jr., WR, New York Jets

4 of 4
Jets Camp Football

New York Jets rookie receiver Omar Cooper Jr. spent four weeks on injured reserve with an ankle injury. However, he was activated ahead of Week 6 and immediately delivered a breakthrough fantasy performance.

Cooper caught six passes for 103 yards and a touchdown against the rival New England Patriots, rewarding fantasy managers with 22.3 points. He probably won't replicate that production in Week 7, but Cooper is still a must-add in most formats.

The Jets will host the Miami Dolphins this week. The Dolphins have surrendered the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers, though that's largely because teams have gotten ahead early and leaned on the run against Miami—the Dolphins rank 29th in net yards per pass attempt allowed.

Cooper can do some early damage in Week 7 and is worth flex consideration. He's certainly worth claiming for his long-term upside, and he's rostered in just 23 percent of leagues.
