Jim Nantz Talks Viral Video With JJ Watt, Says He Avoided Injury After 'Peanut Punch' Attempt
Jim Nantz's wrist is okay after his viral moment with JJ Watt during Sunday's broadcast of the Las Vegas Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills game when they were trying to demonstrate how to protect the ball.
Appearing on Tuesday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Nantz explained he got "a little too aggressive" with his punch but he will be "good to go" for his Week 7 assignment.

The situation occurred when Nantz and Watt were discussing the "Peanut Punch" and how players have adapted to protecting the ball to avoid having it knocked out.
Watt encouraged Nantz to try hitting the ball out of his hands by asking him to punch the ball as hard as he can, to which the legendary broadcaster obliged.
Watt seemed surprised Nantz hit the ball as hard as he did. Nantz said in the moment "my wrist is broken" and he had a wrap around his hand/wrist later in the game.
Nantz toughed it out for the remainder of the game, which turned out to be a thrilling offensive shootout won 33-30 by the Bills.
Watt joked on social media afterward that Nantz would be listed as questionable for Week 7. The 67-year-old is scheduled to be on the call for the Cincinnati Bengals-Baltimore Ravens matchup on Sunday.
