Davante Adams Injury Update, Latest on Rams WR's Return Timeline After Ruptured Hamstring

Timothy RappOct 19, 2026

The Los Angeles Rams' already-disappointing 2026 season took another rough turn on Monday.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the star wideout will be sidelined for 6-10 weeks due to a ruptured hamstring suffered in Sunday's 18-16 loss against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams, who came into the season as Super Bowl contenders but have limped to a 2-4 start, are now beset by injuries.

Superstar edge-rusher Myles Garrett was already on injured reserve, star cornerback Trent McDuffie missed Sunday's game with a groin issue and Monday's injury report hit hard beyond just Adams:

The Rams were already having surprising issues on offense. The loss of Adams will not alleviate them.

The 33-year-old was having an excellent season, catching 30 passes for 480 yards and four scores while giving the Rams one of the most dynamic wideout duos in the league alongside Puka Nacua.

Now, an offense already heavily reliant on Nacua will need to lean on him even more heavily. The Rams could also turn to a trade or free agency to bolster the position behind him.

But the Rams have now gone from winning the offseason to potentially missing out on the playoffs altogether. There's plenty of season left, but L.A. has quickly become one of the most injury-impacted teams in football. Somebody on the offense beyond Nacua, Matt Stafford and (the suddenly disgruntled) Kyren Williams will need to pick up some of the slack.
