Fantasy Football Week 7 Rankings, Box Score Stat Projections, Top Waiver-Wire Adds

Zach BuckleyOct 19, 2026

Fantasy football managers, much like their NFL counterparts, can never afford to dwell on the past.

The aim is always to strike a balance between living in the moment and preparing for the future.

We're here for the latter, as we're shifting focus forward to Week 7 even though Week 6 has one more matchup left on the docket. With waiver wires to run, and lineup decisions to start deciphering, let's dig into some early Week 7 rankings and identify a waiver-wire target at each of the three marquee positions.

Quarterback

Top 10

  1. Jordan Love, GB (at DET)
  2. Brock Purdy, SF (at ATL)
  3. Patrick Mahomes, KC (at SEA)
  4. Caleb Williams, CHI (vs. NE)
  5. Drake Maye, NE (at CHI)
  6. Dak Prescott, DAL (at PHI)
  7. Jared Goff, DET (vs. GB)
  8. Joe Burrow, CIN (at BAL)
  9. Bryce Young, CAR (vs. TB)
  10. Lamar Jackson, BAL (vs. CIN)

Waiver-wire target: Kirk Cousins, LV (vs. LAR)

If your league is shallow-ish or perhaps just slow to work the waivers, there's absolutely a chance Cousins is available. And if he is, it's probably a great idea to make sure he isn't once waivers run this week. While his touchdown tally has slowed a bit, he has cleared 300 passing yards in two of his last three contests, including Sunday when he threw for 313 yards and a couple of scores.

Projected stats: 22-of-35 passing for 264 yards, two touchdowns and one interception

Running Back

Top 10

  1. Jahmyr Gibbs, DET (vs. GB)
  2. Kenneth Walker III, KC (at SEA)
  3. Bijan Robinson, ATL (vs. SF)
  4. Christian McCaffrey, SF (at ATL)
  5. Jonathan Taylor, IND (at MIN)
  6. Derrick Henry, BAL (vs. CIN)
  7. Javonte Williams, DAL (at PHI)
  8. Ashton Jeanty, LV (vs. LAR)
  9. Breece Hall, NYJ (vs. MIA)
  10. Kyren Williams, LAR (at LV)

Waiver-wire target: Jordan Mason, MIN (vs. IND)

It hasn't been a banner week for waiver-wire running backs, so maybe it's the right time to focus on someone who didn't play on Sunday—and hasn't in more than a month. Mason, who landed on injured reserve after fracturing his thumb in Minnesota's opener, appears ready to return and could immediately step into a sizable support role given the Vikings need to reduce their reliance on 31-year-old starter Aaron Jones Sr.

Projected stats: 13 carries for 52 yards, one reception for eight yards, one touchdown

Wide Receiver

Top 10

  1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, SEA (vs. KC)
  2. Puka Nacua, LAR (at LV)
  3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (vs. GB)
  4. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (at PHI)
  5. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (at BAL)
  6. Chris Olave, NO (vs. PIT)
  7. Christian Watson, GB (at DET)
  8. Malik Nabers, NYG (at HOU)
  9. Tetairoa McMillan, CAR (vs. TB)
  10. DeVonta Smith, PHI (vs. DAL)

Waiver-wire target: Germie Bernard, PIT (at NO)

Fantasy managers apparently needed more convincing after Bernard's Week 5 breakout (six receptions on nine targets for 80 yards). They should all be convinced now after his monstrous Week 6 effort, which saw him snag 11-of-12 targets for 87 yards, including the game-winning touchdown catch in overtime.

Projected stats: Seven receptions for 83 yards, one touchdown
