R-Truth Legitimately Injured vs. Damian Priest, Latest Rumors After WWE SmackDown

Doric SamOct 18, 2026

Veteran WWE Superstar R-Truth could be out of action for a bit after suffering an injury on Friday's episode of SmackDown.

During his match against Damian Priest, R-Truth climbed to the top turnbuckle and delivered a Missile Dropkick to his former tag team partner. The referee checked on the 54-year-old while he was lying on the mat and called for the end of the match.

Priest attempted to keep the segment going by getting a steel chair to continue his assault on R-Truth, but Fraxiom's Axiom and Nathan Frazer came out to make the save.

R-Truth and Priest's partnership dissolved last month after they failed to capture the AAA World Tag Team Championship from the War Raiders. Priest is expected to become a top heel, but he needs to finish his storyline with his former partner first.

Fans will be hoping that R-Truth won't have to miss too much time following Friday's injury, but it's safe to expect that he won't be in the ring for a while.
