Caleb Williams Hints at Injury Return, Reposts Hype Video to TikTok Before Bears vs. Falcons

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is seemingly hinting he plans to return from injury this Sunday for a Week 6 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Williams, who has been sidelined since Week 2, reposted an edit on his TikTok account which showed footage of the quarterback being carted off the field set to audio mocking his reaction to his hamstring injury.

The video then showed a clip indicating the quarterback had "flipped a switch" before transitioning into a Williams highlight reel.

Williams was listed as questionable for Sunday's game on the Bears' Friday injury report.

This isn't the first time Williams has used social media to hint at a potential return. Earlier this week, he changed his Instagram profile photo to an image of John Wick and updated his bio to "I'm inevitable."

Williams has been listed as a full participant in each practice this week. Bears coach Ben Johnson told reporters Friday he was "hopeful we'll have more clarity" on the Williams' status by the end of the day.

The quarterback told reporters Thursday he had "a bunch of medical protocols" to go through before he could be cleared to play.

He also expressed discontent about previous reporting on his injury, which he described as a "pretty serious" hamstring tear.

Williams was hurt on a scramble in the fourth quarter of a Week 2 loss to the Vikings. He said Thursday he "felt a pop" and knew immediately he had injured his hamstring.

The quarterback added he "didn't know it wasn't going to be season-ending" until undergoing an MRI the next day.

The Bears have turned in Williams' absence to Tyson Bagent, who has thrown three interceptions and no touchdowns in two starts.

Chicago is now preparing to face the Atlanta Falcons, which rank 27th in passing defense through their 2-3 start to the season. The Falcons are also facing quarterback uncertainty after Michael Penix Jr. suffered a rib injury in Week 5.

The Bears and Falcons will each hope their starters are able to return in time for Sunday's kickoff at 1 p.m. ET in Atlanta.
