Landon Dickerson Makes Cryptic Comment on Eagles Future in Video After Cam Jurgens Trade

Joseph ZuckerOct 15, 2026

Longtime Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Landon Dickerson implied his future with the team is out of his hands after the team has seen a major shakeup to the line.

Asked Wednesday whether he considers himself the "long-term left guard" in Philly, the three-time Pro Bowler responded with another question: "Is that really my decision?"

Fourteen-year veteran Lane Johnson retired and the Eagles traded interior lineman Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens. The team isn't in a rebuild per se following a 2-3 start, but the short-term priorities might be a little different now than they were to begin the year.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Philadelphia isn't expected to have a major sell-off, but that won't stop rival teams from inquiring about certain veterans.

Dickerson is one such example, with Rapoport writing that "it would not surprise those in the league if teams start calling" on him.

The 28-year-old is in the first year of his $58 million extension, which runs through 2028. His $19.5 million average salary is eighth at his position.

If they were to trade him, the Eagles would probably be doing so for financial purposes rather than as a reflection of their belief that Dickerson's performance will start to decline.

Philly has yet to fully activate Dickerson from injured reserve, opening his practice window Wednesday. That's putting the brakes on any hypothetical trade for the time being.

It may not be right up until the Nov. 10 deadline that there's firm clarity over his status with the Eagles for the remainder of the campaign.
