Game 1 was also the most-watched LCS telecast since 2010.
The last time an LCS Game 1 had more than 10.7 million viewers was Oct. 12, 2005 per Sports Media Watch. A total of 13.51 million viewers saw the St. Louis Cardinals take down the Houston Astros 5-3 in Game 1 of the NLCS.
The last time any LCS game had more than 10.7 million viewers was on Oct. 23, 2010, when the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 in Game 6 of the NLCS.
This year's NLCS brings plenty of intrigue. The Brewers won a league-high 103 games, and they're playing the back-to-back World Series champions, who won 100 games themselves. It's a matchup of the league's two best teams (record-wise) on paper.
Milwaukee is also looking for its first-ever World Series victory, while L.A. is seeking the first World Series three-peat since 1998-2000 (New York Yankees).
There's also plenty of star power, including the game's biggest global star, Dodgers DH/pitcher Shohei Ohtani. Other players include likely NL Cy Young winner (and Brewers ace) Jacob Misiorowski, scorching-hot Brewers catcher William Contreras (three homers in six playoffs games) and Dodgers stars Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.
Milwaukee began the series by winning both games at home: 2-1 and 7-4. Brice Turang and Contreras have paced the Brewers offense with three hits and a homer apiece.
