Carnell Tate Drops Honest Quote as Cam Ward, Titans Struggle Amid Winless 2026 NFL Season
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate provided honest commentary to reporters about how he feels amid the team's difficult 0-5 start and what he's doing to handle it.
ESPN's Turron Davenport asked Tate, who experienced great success and winning at Ohio State (including a national championship), what it's like to deal with the losing.
"It's rough," Tate said. "I ain't never lose like this in my life, so we just trying to turn it around for real, for real."
When Davenport asked what he's doing to deal with it, Tate said: "I'm just staying focused on what I can controlling what I can control. As long as you can do your 1/11th, each person do their 1/11th, we can go out there and win some games."
Tennessee is one of three teams to start 0-5 this year alongside the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers. The Titans have scored the league's fewest points per game (11.6), and the offense is very much a work-in-progress. Per Ian Hartitz of Rotowire, the Titans are the only team that hasn't completed a pass of 30 or more yards downfield.
Tennessee's low point occurred on Sunday, when the Titans lost 26-3 to the previously winless Houston Texans. Houston out-gained Tennessee 329-187.
Titans quarterback Cam Ward spoke with reporters about a meeting he had with head coach Robert Saleh this week.
The Titans hope for their first victory on Sunday when they visit the Indianapolis Colts.
