Week 6 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet, Top Sleepers and Best Value Plays

Kristopher KnoxOct 15, 2026

Fantasy managers may be scrambling to fill starting lineups in Week 6, as both injuries and bye weeks will eliminate options.

We saw more fantasy standouts, including TreVeyon Henderson and Deebo Samuel, suffer injuries in Week 5. In Week 6, we'll see the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Minnesota Vikings on bye.

Many managers will need to lean on sleepers and waiver-wire adds this week, but fortunately, some intriguing options should be available.

Here, you'll find updated rankings for Week 6, a cheat sheet for value plays, and a look at some top options who may still be available on the waiver wire. All rankings and picks are based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.

Waiver Target: Kirk Cousins, QB, Las Vegas Raiders

3 of 4
Raiders Patriots Football

Kirk Cousins remains the top waiver target for managers who need a starting quarterback in Week 6. The Las Vegas Raiders signal-caller had a down week against the New England Patriots in Week 5 but has been fairly steady all season.

Cousins still had 13.7 fantasy points last week, and he topped 20 points in each of his previous three games. He topped 15 points in the season-opener, and he has a very favorable matchup this week against the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo is going to score points, which should leave Cousins passing early and often. The Bills have also surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season. Cousins is still available in over half of fantasy leagues.

Waiver Target: Germie Bernard, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

4 of 4
Steelers Bills Football

Managers looking for receiver help should strongly consider adding Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Germie Bernard. The Alabama product saw a significant uptick in usage in Week 5 due to injuries.

Michael Pittman Jr. was already sidelined, and Roman Wilson suffered a finger injury against the Indianapolis Colts. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Wilson will miss multiple weeks.

Given a bigger opportunity, Bernard finished with six catches for 80 yards, one rush, and 14.4 fantasy points. He doesn't have the spiciest matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, but Bernard is rostered in only 17 percent of fantasy leagues.
