Shedeur Sanders Hires Travis Hunter's Agent, Browns QB Wasn't Represented to Start NFL Career
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders now has formal representation after entering the NFL without an agent.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sanders will be represented by Adie von Gontard of Young Money APAA Sports. The agency also represents his former college teammate, Travis Hunter.
An agent can only do so much for a player who's coming into the league and likely to be drafted. There's little negotiations to be had when the collective bargaining agreement lays out the contract terms for every pick.

New 2027 NFL Mock Draft ๐ฎ
Sanders may have suffered from not having an agent, though.
In hindsight, it's safe to say the former Colorado star took the wrong approach heading into the draft. Then, he didn't have an advocate who could push back against what his dad, Deion, described as "bull junk."
Now into his second season, the need for a dedicated agent has only grown for Sanders.
The 24-year-old's future in Cleveland looks a little shaky based purely on the fact he has backed up Deshaun Watson through the Browns' first five games in 2026.
ESPN's Dan Graziano wrote Wednesday he believes Watson will "keep the job until he gets hurt, he starts to play poorly or Cleveland tumbles out of contention." The NFL insider went on to add that "it would be stunning if the Browns' 2027 starter is someone on the current roster."
If Cleveland tabs a different QB to lead the offense next season, then it will be time for Sanders to begin exploring his options elsewhere. Gauging the trade market, should it come to that, will be easier with an agent.
It's not too early for Sanders to begin thinking about his next contract, either. His rookie deal runs through 2028. He has a lot of work ahead to build up his value before he's eligible for free agency.
