Tyreek Hill in Contract Talks With NFL Teams Amid Landing Spot Rumors, Injury Rehab
There are reportedly multiple teams interested in free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill as he continues to rehab from the knee injury that ended his 2025 campaign.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he is still talking with multiple teams even though "nothing is imminent at this time. He's continuing his rehab with the goal of being on a team in the immediate future."
Earlier this month, Michael Silver of The Athletic reported the Kansas City Chiefs were "very interested" in a reunion with Hill, which would make sense.
After all, there is already chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes after Hill played for the AFC West team from 2016 through 2021. He helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl during the 2019 campaign and was one of the best receivers in the league during that span.
What's more, Kansas City needs wide receiver depth with Tyquan Thornton (ankle) and Rashee Rice (hamstring) dealing with injuries.
Silver also reported Hill was "targeting a November return" from the significant knee injury he suffered that included a dislocation and torn ACL.
That multiple teams would be interested in a 32-year-old coming off such a serious injury is a testament to his past production. Hill's resume includes five First-Team All-Pro selections, eight Pro Bowl nods, six seasons with more than 1,100 receiving yards and three seasons with double-digit touchdown catches.
He led the league in receiving yards (1,799) and touchdown catches (13) during the 2023 campaign with the Miami Dolphins.
Still, he failed to reach the 1,000-yard mark in 2024 and played just four games in 2025 because of the injury. There are plenty of question marks surrounding him, including whether he will still be the same playmaker if his speed is impacted by his age and recovery.
For now, he remains a free agent. But he is apparently generating plenty of interest from around the league.
