Puka Nacua Says Rams Need to 'Look at Ourselves in the Mirror' After 2-3 Start to 2026 NFL Season

After falling to 2-3 following Monday night's overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Los Angeles Rams don't appear to be the Super Bowl favorites that many pegged them to be entering the 2026 campaign.

Despite the team's rocky start to the season, Rams star receiver Puka Nacua maintained his optimism as he looked ahead to the Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals (1-4).

"We've got to physically and mentally reset by tomorrow and get ready to play back here at home. ... It's going to be an opportunity to respond, really look at ourselves in the mirror and say what our identity is going to be," Nacua told reporters.

Nacua had one of the most dominant performances of his career in Monday's game, finishing with 17 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown. However, it wasn't enough, as the Bills secured a 37-34 victory in front of disappointed fans at SoFi Stadium.

The Rams had a busy offseason headlined by the acquisition of two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett and the return of future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald. However, Donald has just six tackles and no sacks in his three appearances this season, and Garrett was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Week 1.

On paper, Los Angeles has all the talent needed to make it to the Super Bowl, but the team has yet to establish itself as a true title contender during its rollercoaster start to the year.

The Rams will try to get back on track when they face the Cardinals, who are coached by former Los Angeles offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur.
